Division of Marketing and Development

The Division of Marketing and Development promotes Florida products and facilitates agricultural commerce through a variety of programs and initiatives. The division licenses and bonds dealers in agricultural products which helps protect producers against buyers who fail to pay. The division operates 13 State Farmers’ Markets that provide Florida producers with marketing facilities necessary to move farm products from farm to consumer. The division administers the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign (FAPC), also known as "Fresh From Florida," which includes promotional and advertising programs to help Florida producers market their products. The division gathers agricultural data and compiles current statistics that assist producers in making production and marketing decisions. The division provides an online advertising forum, the Florida Market Bulletin, for placement of ads to buy or sell agriculture-related items. The division also administers marketing orders; administers and supports USDA food distribution programs in Florida; and works to increase public awareness of agriculture's central role in Florida history as well as its continued importance today.
